System / Nova Score List
Introduction
Clicking on the System / Nova Score List menu displays the Nova Score List page. A new NovaStar system includes 5 predefined Nova Scores:
Name | Description |
---|---|
1 | No or Insignificant Hydrologic Activity |
2 | Minor Hydrologic Activity |
3 | Significant Hydrologic Activity |
4 | Serious Flood Threat |
5 | Flooding in Progress |
Nova scores help to categorize active alarms based upon the relative severity of the data report values that trigger an alarm. They are a shorthand way to help interpret alarm data and determine appropriate responses. Each Nova Score is assigned a number that is used internally by the NovaStar system to attach Nova Scores to incoming data reports.
