System / Nova Score List

Introduction

Clicking on the System / Nova Score List menu displays the Nova Score List page. A new NovaStar system includes 5 predefined Nova Scores:

Name Description
1 No or Insignificant Hydrologic Activity
2 Minor Hydrologic Activity
3 Significant Hydrologic Activity
4 Serious Flood Threat
5 Flooding in Progress

Nova scores help to categorize active alarms based upon the relative severity of the data report values that trigger an alarm. They are a shorthand way to help interpret alarm data and determine appropriate responses. Each Nova Score is assigned a number that is used internally by the NovaStar system to attach Nova Scores to incoming data reports.
